For several years, I have been successfully renting out my own holiday apartments along Spain’s beautiful Costa Blanca. The strong results of these investments — combined with the positive experiences of my clients — inspired me to take the next step in my professional journey. I completed the official API real estate training and, together with my business partner Olga Clees, founded the certified Real Estate Agency Clees & Vogel.
The province of Alicante is truly exceptional. From breathtaking mountain landscapes and lush forests inland to vineyards, olive groves, and the stunning Mediterranean coastline, the region offers an extraordinary quality of life. My connection with this region is deeply personal. For more than 20 years I visited the area several times a year, and for the past five years I have proudly called it my permanent home. This experience — both professional and personal — has strengthened my passion for helping others find their place in Spain.
Over the last 35 years, I have worked as an entrepreneur across a variety of industries, experiencing both great successes and challenging periods. These experiences have given me valuable insight, resilience, and a wealth of practical knowledge. Today, I use that expertise to guide my clients with confidence and clarity, helping them achieve the ultimate goal: finding their dream home.
Born in the Netherlands, my real estate journey began in 1990 with the purchase of a historic townhouse in a fortified city center. After a successful renovation and sale, many more projects followed — including apartments, houses, a houseboat, a farmhouse, and commercial properties across the Netherlands. In 2008, I purchased my first property in Spain, and in recent years I have continued investing in apartments located in some of the most beautiful coastal destinations.
As an entrepreneur, I always look for opportunities while carefully assessing risks and long-term value. I believe in continuous learning and strong collaboration with professionals in their respective fields. Over time, this approach has allowed me to build a trusted and high-quality network — a network that now benefits my clients directly.
Today, my mission is simple: to share my experience, my network, and my passion with the people I work with. Many clients become long-term connections, and often even part of that network themselves. Because ultimately, real estate is not just about property — it’s about people, lifestyle, and creating a beautiful life in a wonderful home, in an extraordinary country.
